Frequently asked questions

Why put the postcode district on a house sign?

Adding your outcode, the first half of your postcode such as EX4, is something you rarely see on a house sign, and it is genuinely useful. It gives couriers, taxis and emergency services an extra confirmation that they are in the right area, which can save time on a first delivery. You can show just the district, or the full postcode if you prefer.

How do I design my sign?

Type your house number or name, add your street, and optionally your postcode district. Pick one of five finishes, from slate to brushed steel, brass, white acrylic or oak, and try the six fonts to find a look you like. The preview updates as you type, and you can download a free image to keep.

Can I order a real, physical sign?

We are gauging interest before we start making these. If you would like one, add your email and we will let you know the moment they are available, with no obligation to buy. Your design and email are only used to contact you about the sign.

What styles and fonts are available?

There are five finishes: slate, brushed steel, brass, white acrylic and oak. Each can be paired with one of six fonts, from an elegant serif to a modern sans, a slab and a handwritten style, giving thirty combinations to try before you decide.
