Nearest Bus Stops

This tool lists the bus stops closest to any postcode in Great Britain, using NaPTAN, the National Public Transport Access Nodes dataset maintained by the Department for Transport. It contains the location of every public transport stop in the country, more than 340,000 bus stops in all, so wherever you are there is a good chance of finding the nearest few in seconds.

How It Works

Enter a postcode and we find its location, then search for the bus stops nearest to it and list them by distance. For each stop we show its name and the locality it serves, along with how far it is in a straight line from the postcode. The actual walking distance may be a little longer depending on the roads and paths.

Why It Is Useful

Knowing how close the nearest bus stop is matters when you are choosing somewhere to live, renting out a property, or simply planning a journey. A home a few minutes' walk from a stop is far better connected than one a mile away, and that convenience is often reflected in how desirable an area is.
