The area is accessible via the A3055 road and is part of the larger parish of Sandown. Blackgang is situated within the PO38 postcode area, which covers parts of the island’s western coast. The village is notable for its historic Blackgang Chine, a natural ravine carved by erosion, which has been developed into a small attraction featuring a miniature railway and various exhibits. The site offers views across the sea and is popular with visitors during the summer months.
