About this game
Place It is a UK geography challenge built from real Ordnance Survey boundary data. You are shown a British town and you pin it on a blank map of Great Britain. It is a great way to learn where places actually are. Study the interactive map of UK counties to sharpen up.
How do you play Place It?
You are given the name of a British town. Click the map where you think it is. The game then reveals the true location and scores each guess out of 1,000 based on how many miles you were off, over five rounds.
How is the score worked out?
A perfect pin scores close to 1,000 points and the score falls the further away your guess lands. Your total is out of 5,000 across the five rounds, along with your total distance off in miles.
